Would this method work to join two thin sheets of MDF edge to edge? The sheets are 1200mm x 600mm x 6mm. They are laid down on the carpet in front of a workstation to make rolling an office chair easier. Otherwise the chair castors get trapped in the carpet. Note that the MDF is really thin!

Very thoughtful solution... I like that it is not a static system (easily changeable over time) it requires a very deep heavy-duty drawer and the expense of a real mechanic tool box, but maybe not....

yeah thanks for posting the video, it convinced me to buy the kit. I want to add it to my crafting skillset. the only issue is, I didnt get any hardware or instructions. the seller just ignored me so i figured i was asking a stupid question. all that I got was the basic manual which is worthless the hose and steam machine ( which is fine I guess). I can get hinges and a latch in my garage but what kind of fitting do i need to attach it to the box. I see the brass heads and nuts, what size are they? a list of the hardware needed would be great. what type of fitting do you need?
